11/9/10 Award-Winning Hurley Bariatric Center Website Now Features Healthy Recipes
The Hurley Bariatric Center (HBC) has performed more than 3,700 life-changing surgeries since we opened our doors more than a decade ago. HBC was the first bariatric center established in Genesee County. Among its distinctions, HBC is verified as a Level 1A Bariatric Center by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the highest designation available. HBC also received the 2010 Outstanding Website Award for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development by the Web Marketing Association. Now, the HBC Website has another feature on its website—the addition of healthy, portion-controlled recipes available 24/7, 365. “The Hurley Bariatric Center website is often the first step for prospective patients to learn more about our center of excellence, and our program. Having this outstanding website goes hand in hand with the outstanding and life-changing surgical procedures we offer patients day in and day out,” says Jamal Farhan, MD, FACS, Director, Hurley Bariatric Program and Bariatric Surgeon.
“I am very excited about the long-anticipated release of the new recipe feature on our website. The recipes use a wide-variety of ingredients, are well-portioned, and easy to make. They are intended for individuals who have had a bariatric surgery procedure, but because there are heart-healthy, diabetic-friendly, and even gluten-free recipes included, this site will certainly prove useful for almost anyone interested in following a healthy diet. My patients have been asking for bariatric-friendly recipes for some time now and I’m proud Hurley is providing them with such a valuable tool to help them achieve their goals,” says Jennifer Traub, RD, CNSC, Clinical Dietitian at Hurley Bariatric Center.
The recipes available on the HBC website are provided by Baldwin Publishing. The company creates compelling health content to energize marketing campaigns for more than 150 clients nationwide.
